Weekly Waypoint

Did you miss Isabela as much as I did? Dragon Age: Inquisiton‘s multiplayer-focused DLC Dragonslayer  dropped Tuesday of this week (May 5th). Dragonslayer introduces High Dragon battles, and 3 new playable characters: Skywatcher, the Avvar that chills in the Fallow Mire;  Raider Queen and fan-favorite, Isabela; and Zither, theVirtuoso who most of us assumed was just a joke character made for an April Fool’s joke.  Download this DLC for free now, available for all systems!

Banjo-Kazooie’s spiritual successor Yooka-Laylee met its Kickstarter goal in less than hour last week. Currently at $2,209,332 with 40 days to go, Playtonic Games (a company forged of Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country creative talent) asked for only $270,041.Yooka-Laylee stars a chameleon and a bat (Yooka and Laylee respectively). Yooka has a special tongue while Laylee uses her sonar abilities. The two form a symbiotic relationship to platform through the game’s 5 major worlds.Yooka-Laylee is planned for release on PC/Mac/Linux, Xbox One, PS4, and  Wii U! Check out the Kickstarter page for more info!

The zombies are coming! To Goat Simulator! GoatZ came out yesterday for Steam, and adds a craft system, “buggy” zombies, a new map, and a “completely realistic survival mode where you have to eat every damn five minutes to survive because Dean Hall & Garry Newman said so.” Don’t worry, I don’t think goatse has anything to do with it.

In addition to their new DLC and in light of the kerfuffle between Hideo Kojima and Konami, Coffee Stain Studios decided to honor Kojima in their own special way. #RIPSilentHills .

We heard that Hideo Kojima was removed from the credits for Metal Gear Solid 5 so we added him to the credits for Goat Simulator. You're always welcome to work with us Kojima! <3

Some E3 News!

LET THE FALLOUT 4  RUMOR MILL BEGIN…AGAIN! Bethesda announced in February that they would be hosting their first ever E3 conference, so naturally everyone speculated it’s purpose. Yesterday, a German games’ site PC Games reported that their conference will feature a 20-30 minute Demo of Fallout 4. Of course this is just a rumor, so I’ll just be over here anxiously awaiting anything official. It’s been 5 years!

This year’s E3 will be a little bit different for PC gamers: AMD and PC Gamer are pairing up to bring us a conference just for PC games! The conference takes place on June 16th and will be hosted by none other than Day[9]. “The PC Gaming Show embodies the spirit of innovation, openness and community that’s part of our DNA—delivered by gamers, for gamers,” said AMD Corporate VP Matt Skynner. The PC Gaming Show will feature developers and the like from companies such as Blizzard, Obsidian, Humble Bundle, and Square Enix. “We’re living in a golden age of PC gaming,”added Tim Clark, global EIC at PC Gamer, “but unlike other platforms the PC has no format holder, no marketing department, and—until now—no event during E3 week purely devoted to it.”
