A New Mission: The Search For The Best Workflow

I had said before I wanted to dive further into the world of note apps that are out there. Since I have started that I think I need to go deeper. I have decided to chronicle my search for the perfect workflow. I am not sure workflow is the right term, but I want to find the best tools and resources to get the work I need to done in the most efficient way possible. I am going to call this my ‘workflow’.

This seems like a large task but I am going to break it down into much smaller sections. I am going to slowly bring those sections together until I have a cohesive workflow that makes sense. I know some of the challenges will be comparing a lot of similar tools together, as well as deciding if one tool that does a lot of things decently is better than a lot of tools that do a single thing amazingly or vice versa.

I am going to try and tackle at lot of topics; they may vary drastically from week to week or a single topic may take up a lot of my time. I am going to reexamine all the parts I currently have in place and find the best way to get my work done.

To start finding these workflows I must first decide what my working priorities are.

I need to figure out the best way to:

-Save notes

-Access different types of files quickly

-Be safe and efficient with passwords

-Manage my time and tasks

-Keep up with the world

-Get back to the things I want to read or watch later

-Store all my media digitally, and essentially go paperless

-Collect research and track things I read while keeping data on anything I care to

-Automate my home

This list could probably keep going for a while. I am going to try and tackle all of these things and share my findings.
