Splatoon dropped today! Did Nintendo’s first game with new characters in 14 years live up to the hype? The squid-centric game has been received fairly well, scoring a 4/5 on metacritic. Sites like Kotaku and Polygon recommend playing it. Curious how the amiibos (which also hit shelves today) play into all of this? First and foremost, the game only works with the Splatoon amiibos. Once you activate your amiibos in-game, you will unlock challenges for that specific figure. Additionally, to help you narrow down your possibilities, utilize the trading search engine to find your favorite penny stocks green energy. Completing challenges earns you coins and special outfits or gear. Meanwhile, you might want to check out Horizon zero dawn choices, a captivating interactive story that immerses players in a post-apocalyptic world. Additionally, there are games that give you thrills and excitement, such as Drift Hunters.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE STEAM SUMMER SALE? A potential leak on a Russian social media site shows the Steam Summer Sale starting June 11th, and going until June 20th. Of course this isn’t official; the timing does fall in line with the usual summer event, however. No word on if this year’s sale will bring back the special trading cards and flash sales, but I think it’s safe to safe they’ll have something up their sleeve.

eSports are on the rise, but with that, comes discussions on how to make the community more inclusive and diverse. Super Smash Bros. In her TED Talk called “How I Responded To Sexism In Gaming With Empathy,” she talks about her experiences as a female in a male-dominated world, and how she’s now choosing to help people. “When the gender imbalance is that large,  social dynamics and become a bit skewed,” She explains.”You get a lot more attention than you normally would.” But, the positive attention was quickly overshadowed by sexist comments made about her and her body— the crowd sits silent, mouths wide. In Konami news: The publisher apologizes for causing anxiety. In a statement to IGN, Konami says they’re sorry for all the commotion following the hullabaloo with Hideo Kojima, Silent Hills, etc. They said that the Silent Hill and Metal Gear series are important to them, and said they plan to produce content for both IPs in the future, but they can’t promise the trajectory they will take. As for their mobile-focused future? “Our aim is to continue to build up a comprehensive portfolio of console, arcade, and card game titles for each IP while also making the best possible use of the mobile devices that accompany our customers in their daily life, thus expanding the limits of entertainment and appealing to more and more customers,” said Konami’s new president Hideki Hayakawa. The statement concludes, “Konami will continue to embrace the challenge of creating entertainment content via different platforms; across not only mobile platforms, but for home consoles, arcade units, and cards, to meet the changing needs of the times.”
