Hey Everyone, hope the week is treating you well.

Spotify held an event today to announce that they would be adding Apps to its service to help with discovery and social. Some of the partners they had at launch were Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, The Guardian, and Last.FM. They will also be improving their Facebook ticker to help see what people are listening to in real time.

Today a security researcher has found that a program that is supposed to help make your service better is actually recording everything you do. Carrier IQ, is on around 141 million mobile phones and can’t be removed. More news has been slowly coming out through out the day, for up to date info on this you can follow the updates here.

In other hacking news this morning Team Poison many UN sites and published passwords and login, claiming that the UN is corrupt. Team Poison is also teaming up with Anonymous to target banks and give the money to charity, so you can’t say all hacking is horrible right?

In the ever evolving story of the merger of AT&T and T-Mobile, the FCC published its report on why it was not going to let the merger go through. There is a detailed write up of it here if you want to check out the details.

And in a bit of sad news, it was announced today that GamePro is going to be shutting down its website on December 5th, and it will only be publishing one more issue of its magazine, it was founded and has been published since 1986. For those of us that grew up with Nintendo and Sega it should be a very familiar name.
